শনিবার (১১ মার্চ) রাত সাড়ে ৯টায় চট্টগ্রাম থেকে ছেড়ে আসা ঢাকাগামী আন্তঃনগর সোনার বাংলা এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনটি ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার পাঘাচং আসলে ইঞ্জিন বিকল হয়ে পড়ে।
ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া রেলওয়ে স্টেশনের মাস্টার মোঃ রফিকুল ইসলাম ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে এ প্রতিবেদককে জানান, চট্টগ্রাম থেকে ছেড়ে আসা ঢাকাগামী আন্তঃনগর সোনার বাংলা এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনটি ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার পাঘাচং রেলওয়ে স্টেশন এলাকায় আসলে ট্রেনটির ইঞ্জিন বিকল হয়ে যায়। এতে করে ঢাকাগামী ট্রেন চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে পড়েছে। সিলেট ও চট্টগ্রামের সাথে রেল যোগাযোগ স্বাভাবিক রয়েছে। পাশাপাশি আখাউড়া থেকে ইঞ্জিন আনা হচ্ছে,দ্রুত ইঞ্জিন পরিবর্তন করে ট্রেনটি পূণরায় গন্তব্যে ছেড়ে যাবে।
